Dear Parents,

Here are some further details regarding your child’s Christmas Concert.

Children should be in their classrooms at 7.00 p.m. on their concert night.  Please note that the front hall door will not be open.  Entry to concert will be through the side doors on the yard side.  Doors will open at 7.00 p.m.  The concert will start at 7.30 p.m. sharp.

TICKETS

Due to the heavy demand for tickets and to keep in line with Health & Safety regulations, admission to the concert will be by ticket only on both nights.  Tickets will not be available at the door.  Each child is allocated 2 tickets which are available from your child’s teacher from Wednesday 21st November – they cost €6 each.  Every teacher has some “spare” tickets which you may order. Teachers will take your name on a waiting list and these tickets will be distributed fairly on Thursday 29th November.

All children in the school will have the opportunity to see every concert item at our dress rehearsals so there is no need for them to attend again on concert nights.

PARKING

Please note that in the interest of safety the Junior School Yard will not be available for parking on concert nights as the gates on the Ludford side will be locked.  You are welcome to park in the Senior School Yard.  Access to the Senior School Yard is from the Broadford road side.

PERFORMANCES

In order not to disturb children/teachers who are performing on stage we are asking you not to collect children from the classrooms until the interval – unless you are going directly home.

Re-admission to the hall will not be allowed until the interval. Children performing after the interval may be collected only when the concert is over – unless they are going home.

For safety reasons we cannot allow buggies in the hall during the concerts as they cause obstruction in the passageways.

If you need wheelchair accommodation in the hall, please let me know this week.

Your child’s Teacher will tell you anything else you need to know.

RAFFLE

We are also having a raffle on each concert night.  We are looking for spot prizes….. once again we call on your generosity to donate something if you can.

OPTIONAL LATE OPENING

The school will open as normal at 08.50 a.m. – on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th December. However, if it suits your family, children can come in to school any time up to 10.00 a.m

Thank you for all your help, generosity and co-operation.

We look forward to seeing you at what is always a very enjoyable night.

Yours sincerely,

Margaret O’Neill                                     Tommy Neary
